The
Royal Air Force Music Charitable Trust was founded in December
2003 by Malcolm
Goodman, who was then serving with the
Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment at RAF Cranwell and
as Public Relations and Marketing Manager for the RAF Music
Services. The Charitable Trust was subsequently
registered as a service charity with the Charity
Commission in January 2004.
The charity is administered by its Board
of Trustees to promote
welfare funding through the performance of live
music by Royal Air Force musicians.
In 2007 the charity has provided continuing
financial support to the RAF Association for various fund
raising concerts both in the UK and overseas, and is also
supporting a series of RAF music recitals in London and
Lincolnshire.
With additional concerts planned for the
wider community, the charity also provides financial
support to the RAF Charitable Trust and the RAF Benevolent
Fund in support of the annual RAF Massed Bands UK Concert
Tour.
The Royal Air Force Music Charitable Trust
also provides online sales facilities for the purchase
of CDs and gifts through this website in support for the
Royal Air Force Music Services.
